Due Date: February 16
Caterpillar needs a SkillsUSA Pin (enamel) designed. This pin (if selected) will be manufactured and distributed nationally during Skills USA competitions and gatherings.
Day 1
Step 1: Three thumbnails must be created and shared with instructor
Step 2: A "Rough" must be created based off of one of your thumbnails that you shared with your instructor and your instructor agreed upon
Day 2 - 5
Step 3: Create a new folder in your Graphic Design folder and title it "Skills USA Pin" (this is where you will store all materials/items related to this assignment)
Step 4: The Rough must be recreated inside of Adobe Illustrator. This will be considered the "Comp" (Comprehensive). This Comp will be full color
Step 5: A Photoshop rendering must be performed (bevels, drop shadows, etc) which sort of demonstrate not only the finished piece but how it would appear as a button/pin
The Pin must include the following
- The Pin size is 1.5" x 1.5" (inches)
- The Pin can be circle, square, triangle, polygon, or irredular shaped
- Caterpillar colors
- Yellow
- Black
- White
- Red
- The word Skills USA
- The words "No Limits"
- The year of 2024
