This section will instruct you on how to use the Pathfinder inside of Adobe Illustrator
Pathfinder is an Adobe Illustrator tool that allows you to combine two or more objects together in various forms. Sometimes, you want to combine them in a way where multiple objects form a new, singular object. At other times, you may use Pathfinder to perform cookie-cutter style shapes. This exercise will demonstrate the various ways in which Pathfinder functions.
Create a new folder in your Communications 1/Multimedia folder and title it Adobe Illustrator - Pathfinder
Your folder should appear as so:
Download these next few files by clicking your right mouse button and then selecting: save target as (Internet Explorer) or save as (Goole Chrome). Be sure to select the Adobe Illustrator - Pathfinder folder as the location where you want to save them.

- Pathfinder - Intersect
- Pathfinder - Minus
- Pathfinder - Divide
- Pathfinder - Exclude
- Pathfinder - Trim
Open the Adobe Illustrator application (located in your start menu). You will use Adobe Illustator to open each of the .PDF documents (below) and perform the actions required on each document. When you are done, be sure to click on Save to save your document.
