When creating overlapping shapes in any illustration program, stacking objects on top of each other is fairly simple. However, when we want to create the impression that objects weave in and out of each other (like wicker, or the texture of a woven basket, threads, etc.,) there is a certain process that needs to be employed: PathFinder and
- Create a new folder in your Graphic Design folder and title it: Adobe Illustrator - Compound Paths and Gradients
- Download this file and save it to your Adobe Illustrator - Compound Paths and Gradients folder.
- Repeat the file setup that you did for Adobe Illustrator - Rotation project only use eight (8) ArtBoards instead of 6.
- Recreate the images on the provided downloaded file using the Pen Tool, Pen Tool, Gradients and Compound Paths in Illustrator.
- Save your work (when completed) as an Adobe PDF titled Adobe Illustrator CPG - Complete.pdf
