|Turn off your iPad. It is not to be used (in any way) in this classroom, either for academic or recreational use (unless approved by the instructor). Ignoring this will result in detention and further disciplinary action (Gross Misconduct/Refusal to comply). Not gonna lie - I absolutely hate them.||Did you remember to put your assignments in a folder? Did you label the folder after the assignment title? Did you save your file in the appropriate manner? If not: NO GRADE! Check your PowerSchool frequently. It's your RESPONSIBILITY!|
- Avoid using gradients. The vinyl cutter understands shapes, but not color transitions.
- The vinyl cutter does not like extremely complicated images and shapes.
- The vinyl cutter does not like extremely detailed pencil work.
- The vinyl cutter does not like photo-realistic images.
FOR T-SHIRTS ONLY!!! Regardless of whether you reverse your image in Adobe Illustrator, be sure that the image is reversed (mirrored/refected) in the LXI software (like the image below). If it is not reversed, then click on the little "F" button until it is. Sometimes, students will enable this function but fail to disable it and students who reversed their images in Illustrator will work under the impression that it is correct. Always look to make sure that the image is backwards. If it is, you are good to go.
